We’ve made a decision. We will replace Salesforce with SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer and we will do so on a tight project timeline. Why are we doing this? There are a number of reasons and they are by no means specific to us at IBsolution.

What not to do with satisfied customers

What is the best way to treat a satisfied customer who has been successfully using my cloud CRM solution for years? Come up with new prices that leave the customer no choice but to take a closer look at alternative solutions.

When the time came to renew our Salesforce licenses, we were hit with a massive, almost 50 percent price hike. This made the decision to thoroughly evaluate other established cloud CRM solutions and possibly replace Salesforce an easy one. Our short list included sugarCRM and SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer (C4C), two native cloud solutions that are now some 30 percent cheaper than a comparable Salesforce solution.

How to make a new customer extremely happy

In addition to a fair and market-driven price, we also placed great emphasis on finding a solution that would deploy quickly, allow us to migrate our existing Salesforce data, and give us a 360-degree view of our customers. On the process side, these requirements were met by both sugarCRM and C4C.

Ultimately, our decision to go with SAP Hybris C4C was swayed by its seamless integration with our existing SAP landscape. SAP Hybris C4C gives us full visibility into our sales and customer management – from initial contact, to the bidding process, to the order. We are also expecting to see more effects in the future due to the transparency with which it presents CRM KPIs and correlates them with relevant information from other sources such as Google Analytics.
